I recently attended the Free Creative fashion show at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The Free Creative is the cream of Nelson Mandela University’s first, second and third year fashion designers. It inspires young fashion design students to express and formulate their individual style and translate a future aesthetic. This year the students used a completely new approach, developing sculptural three dimensional fabric manipulation. I was part of the photography team who photographed the event.
